The Fourth International Brain Tumour Awareness Week has commenced and concludes on 6 November, together with the Fourth Walk Around the World for Brain Tumours.

4 October 2010:
Singer and songwriter David M Bailey, who was a hero in the brain tumour community, died in Virginia on Saturday 2 October. The IBTA distributed a Media Release about this remarkable man. This is a link to the family's message about his passing.

February 28th marks Rare Disease Day 2010 and this year's focus is "Bridging Patients and Researchers".  Rare diseases, including rare cancers like brain tumours, are today a public health priority in the European Union. By further raising awareness of these diseases on a special international commemorative day better outcomes and greater hope may be achieved for those who suffer with rare conditions.  For further information see http://www.rarediseaseday.org/ or contact the European Organisation for Rare Diseases (Eurordis) at http://www.eurordis.org/


30 January 2010:
